Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Friday, watched Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship student interaction programme Pariksha Pe Charcha along with students at the Government High School, Unit-I, Bhubaneswar.

The initiative aims to help students approach examinations with confidence, clarity and a positive mindset. With annual examinations approaching during February and March, stress and anxiety often grip students across schools and colleges.

To address this challenge, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Pariksha Pe Charcha, an annual interactive platform that encourages students, parents and teachers to focus on stress-free learning and holistic development. The ninth edition of the programme for the 2026 academic year was telecast Friday.

Interacting with students after the programme, the Chief Minister advised them to study with patience rather than pressure, stating that calm preparation leads to better outcomes. “Self-confidence is the most important key to success. It grows from honesty, discipline and consistent effort,” he said.

Majhi emphasized that learning does not depend on a perfect or comfortable environment. “If the will to learn is strong, every environment becomes conducive to education,” he remarked, urging students to remain focused regardless of circumstances. The Chief Minister also cautioned against equating examination results with life’s success.

“Marks do not define your future. Choosing the path of knowledge and continuous learning is what truly prepares you for life,” he said, adding that knowledge equips individuals with essential life skills and clarity of purpose. While engaging with students, Majhi referred to Prime Minister Modi’s life journey, struggles and achievements, encouraging students to think ahead, set clear goals and move forward with determination.

Addressing parents, the Chief Minister urged them to motivate children according to their abilities, aptitude and interests. He stressed that values, discipline and character are nurtured at home and called for imparting moral education from an early age. “With the right guidance, every child can grow into a confident and capable individual,” he said.

Calling upon students to face examinations with a smile rather than fear, Majhi expressed confidence that hard work would be rewarded. “My blessings are always with you. I wish all students great success in their examinations,” he added.

School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond, OSEPA Project Director Ananya Das, students from various schools and their parents were present on the occasion.
