Suspects asked to attend secret meeting at Vishakhapatnam May 30

Rayagada, May 26: All the persons, suspected to be involved in Itishree Pradhan immolation case, were directed by their political master to attend a secret meeting at Vishakhapatnam 30th of this month.

The direction of their political master was conveyed to them by a woman who is also suspected to be involved in the incident at a closed door meeting held at Tikiri Saturday night.

Sources claimed that the political leader was also likely to remain present in the May 30 meeting. He had planned to review the statements given by these suspects before the CBI, discuss the possible outcome of CBI investigation into the case and finalize next course of action.

Sources added that eight suspects have been interrogated by the agency and out of these, five are government employees. The rest three are siblings. The woman who had conveyed the political leader’s message to these eight suspects had also recently held a secret meeting with that leader at a hotel in Bhubaneswar. Her husband was also present in the meeting.

Meanwhile, the CBI inspector D B Mitrawa who is conducting probe into the case held discussions with the present headmaster of Tikiri Upper Primary School Jogeswar Turuk Tuesday.

Later, he went to the SBI branch and collected bank details Itishree, 11 contractors and 9 traders.

Out of these 20 contractors and traders, many had transferred huge amount of money to Itishree’s account. All these persons have already been interrogated by the agency. But, the investigating officials are still trying to ascertain the reasons for which these persons had transferred money to her account.

The agency officials said that they will again quiz these persons.
