Bhubaneswar, August 18: City boy Suraj Sahoo has courted technology, and he did so with passion. He developed two applications by names ‘Instablood’ and ‘Indiet’ through which the needy can receive some specialized services with a few press of the buttons – and they can get the services quickly and easily. “The app Instablood is location-based. It will help one get blood for the needy. Here, the app connects one to the nearby blood donors, and a contact is easily established. Blood donation is thus made easy,” said Sahoo in a chat with OrissaPOST. The 26-year-old has been recognized as Microsoft’s Most Valuable Professional for 2016-17, the C-sharp corner MVP, and an MSDCian by the MicroSoft Developers Community, Orissa. He has also devised an app that will help those who need nutritious, made-to-order, food. It is named ‘Indiet’. “This application is beneficial to the elderly citizens who are living alone, have diet restrictions, and need nutritious food for a healthy long life. There are several elderly people who live alone, as their children stay elsewhere. The app would help these elderly have easy access to nutritious foods as per prescriptions of nutritionists.” Instablood app is available on website, ios and android, while Indiet will be available on the web by this October. The city boy along with a few young minds has set up a company called ‘INVINCIX Solutions Pvt Ltd’. They say they have a passion to get acquainted with new technology and use it do something for the society. Their slogan is, “Do something for the society, the rest the society does for you.” The primary objective of INVINCIX is to produce easy-to-access products that can add value to the life of ordinary citizens. “To begin with, we have two in
novative concepts that would transform into new apps in the near future.” Suraj Sahoo, director and technology anchor at the company said, “Life is more of a fun when you take risks. Leaving a healthy job and engaging oneself in a start-up involves risks, but the risk is worth taking. I always had a dream to do something different that will be beneficial to the society, to the country, and to the world. I don’t believe in the term ‘customer’ and ‘employee’. Every human being is talented and unique in his or her own way. If someone takes the initiative to bring such talents out of youths, and motivate them, then a whole lot of youths will be skilled.”
He added, “IT plays a vital role in society today. If people choose IT out of compulsion, and not out of a passion, then it’s a disaster and IT will not be enthused. I request recruiters to see the passion in students and encourage such of youths. If so, IT will boom in this country and recession will be a myth.” Suraj also suggested to the fresh ITians, “My suggestion to all IT professionals is to come out of their daily jobs, find time to learn new technologies, share knowledge and try at innovation. This will really help them.”
