Jharsuguda: A 17-year-old girl was electrocuted after coming in contact with a live wire while doing some household chores at Pipilimal village under Belpahar Police limits in Jharsuguda district Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Deepanjali. Sources said, the mishap took place at around 8am while the victim was busy in working at her home.
She accidentally touched a live wire and fell unconscious. Family members rushed her to a private hospital in Belpahar where she succumbed to her burns during treatment.
A case of unnatural death was registered and the body was sent for autopsy to Jharsuguda District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
