Cuttack: With an objective to learn new skills and practical experience, a two-day Terracotta Training Workshop was successfully organised by ORMAS under the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water department April 1 and 2 at CNBT Bus Stand.

The workshop featured Sakuntala Muduli and Sri Laxmidhar Muduli as resource persons, who provided hands-on training to the participants.

They demonstrated various aspects of terracotta art, including painting and pottery techniques, in a simple and practical manner.

Participants were trained in clay preparation, design development, crafting terracotta items, and creative product design through practical sessions.

Students from Ravenshaw University actively participated in the training programme.

Along with learning the artistic and practical aspects of terracotta craft, they also gained insights into its market value and entrepreneurial potential.

In addition, several community members also joined the workshop and benefited from learning new skills.

During the two-day workshop, participants gained practical exposure to various aspects of terracotta craft, including design innovation and product development.

They learned to create items such as earthen lamps, decorative pieces, home décor items, and small utility products.
