Bhadrak: At least three rooms of a family were reduced to ashes and a cow was burnt alive after fire broke out in Orali village under Tihidi block in the district last night.
According to reports, smoke sighted from one villager’s house identified as Pagal Sahoo’s Monday night while the family members were asleep. The blaze spread very rapidly and engulfed three rooms in the house along with the cattle shed before the family could wake up.
A cow was charred to death while five other cattle sustained critical burn injuries.
The fire was brought under control with the help of villagers.
Police have reached the spot and started an investigation.
However, the exact reason for the mishap is yet to be known.
