Cuttack: Chand Club and Radha Raman Club registered convincing wins over their respective opponents in different matches of the FAO Ist Division League at the Barabati Stadium here Wednesday.
In the first match Chand Club defeated Azad Hind Club 2-0 dominating both sessions. Sasikant Sandel (41st) and Sunil Murmu (69th) got the goals for Chand Club.
In the second match, Radharaman registered an emphatic 2-0 victory over Bidanasi Club.
After a goalless and drab first half, Radharaman players came out with an aggressive intent. Bada Hembram found the back of the net in the 48th minute. Sumant Chatri doubled the lead in the 56th minute to ensure the victory.
Manipur triumph
Manipur drubbed Uttarakhand 9-0 in a match of the 24th National Senior Women’s Football Championships here Wednesday.
Other results: Delhi bt Madhya Pradesh 5-0, Punjab bt Bihar 6-0, Tamil Nadu bt Mizoram 7-0, Maharashtra bt Chandigarh 6-0.
