Bhubaneswar: Traffic cops Thursday issued guidelines regarding vehicular movement ahead of the state level Republic Day celebrations here.
Police have imposed restrictions on traffic towards Mahatma Gandhi road. “No heavy vehicles shall be allowed to ply towards Master Canteen Square either from Ram Mandir crossing or from Rajmahal crossing from 6.30am onwards January 26, till the parade is over,” Commissionerate police said.
However, light vehicles including motorcycles can move from Rajmahal Square to Master Canteen towards the Ram Mandir crossing.
Vehicles moving towards Rabindra Mandap from Housing Board crossing will be diverted at Keshari Talkies. Traffic from AG square to PMG Square will be diverted at Jayadev Bhawan towards Idcol auditorium.
Vehicle moving from 120 infantry Battalion crossing will be diverted towards Unit IV near the MLA colony crossing. The places for parking for the day include BDA bus stand near Railway station, open space in front of Congress Bhawan, Idcol auditorium, Jayadev Bhawan, SBI in Unit 3. Vehicles can be parked at the empty space on Rabindra Mandap premises and Unit III girls high school ground as well.
