Jajpur: Bodies of a man and his son, who had gone missing in the Kharasrota river near Baitangi mutt under Binjharpur police limits in this district Wednesday evening while taking bath, were fished out Thursday morning.
The deceased have been identified as 32-year old Saroj Bal and his seven-year-old son Aayas Kumar, residents of Kalyanpur area.
Both while taking bath in the river, slipped into deep hidden gorge and went missing. On being informed fire personnel from Jajpur Fire Station reached the spot and carried out search operations that continued till Thursday morning. The bodies were then found stuck under the Kantipur bridge.
Registering unnatural death cases, police have sent the bodies for post-mortem and launched an investigation.
