Jajpur: A speeding car rammed into a roadside tree on Ragadi-Panikoili road near Naranpur in Jajpur district late Tuesday night killing two brothers and critically injuring two others, including a woman.
The deceased have been identified as Alok Jena (21) and Upendra Jena (32) of Fajalpur village under Korei police limits in the district.
The two were travelling in a car along with the woman when the driver of the ill-fated vehicle reportedly lost control over the wheels due to low visibility owing to foggy conditions.
The car rammed into a roadside tree, leaving the two brothers dead on the spot. The driver and the woman sustained grievous injuries in the mishap and were admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment.
