Bhubaneswar: Odisha cueist Subrat Das and former India junior snooker No.2 Soubhagya Behera will participate in the Steve Davis Cup snooker tournament at Ranchi, August 4-18 as the Billiards and Snooker Association of Odisha (BSAO) announced in a press release Thursday. Both of them will compete in the individual events and will also pair up for the doubles.
Incidentally it will be a coach-student combo as Subrat currently is helping Soubhagya to hone his skills. Meanwhile Subrat is also training hard to achieve good results in the tournament. “I’ve been practicing four to five hours daily to do well in the tournament,” stated Subrat.
Team leave
A 29-member team of Berhampur Taekwondo Academy departed from Berhampur to Cuttack, Thursday, to participate in the 33rd Odisha State Level Taekwondo Championships. Fans and officials wished the team good luck at the Berhampur Railway Station. Ambika Prasad Dash is the main coach of the team.
