Berhampur: Two minor brothers were feared to have met their watery grave in Rushikulya river at Bhimpur village under Purushottampur block in Ganjam district Wednesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Sangram Pradhan (17), a Plus II student, and his younger brother Subham (13), a Class VIII student.
According to reports, the siblings drowned in the river after they accidentally slipped into it while taking bath.
Some boys, who were also taking bath in the river, ran back home and informed the duo’s family members about the incident that occurred at 9.40 am.
Fire service officials have launched a search and rescue operation but were yet to trace the brothers.
