Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance Saturday conducted simultaneous searches at seven locations linked to Pramod Ray, assistant executive engineer (AEE) of the Derabish Irrigation Sub-Division under the Kendrapara Irrigation Division, officials said.
During the searches, Vigilance officials unearthed several assets in the name of Ray and his family members.
These include a palatial four-storey building measuring around 8,000 square feet at Balianta in Bhubaneswar, constructed during 2024-25, and a double-storey building of about 5,200 square feet at Chaudwar in Cuttack.
Officials also detected two valuable plots, one measuring about 3,000 square feet at Balianta in Bhubaneswar and another measuring about 2,500 square feet at Choudwar in Cuttack.
The measurement and valuation of the buildings and plots are being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing.
During the raids, officials also recovered cash amounting to Rs 4,48,580 and detected two two-wheelers. Bank deposits, postal savings and other investments linked to the engineer are being verified, officials said.
