A viral video reportedly from Bali has everyone laughing. It shows a cheeky monkey stealing a man’s sunglasses. What follows is a hilarious tug-of-war between human and monkey, with the crowd cheering and recording every moment.
Monkeys at Bali’s Uluwatu Temple are famous for their tricks, and this viral video proves exactly why. A tourist found himself in an unexpected battle of wits when a monkey grabbed his sunglasses and refused to give them back.

The man tried everything to get his shades back. He even asked fellow visitors to offer items like a phone or a battery in exchange, hoping the monkey would be tempted. But the little thief was clearly enjoying the spotlight.

Onlookers burst into laughter as the monkey carefully examined the sunglasses, almost as if it was trying them on. Cameras clicked, phones rolled, and the scene turned into a full-blown spectacle.
Despite all attempts, the monkey had no intention of returning its prize. In true mischievous fashion, it ran off with the sunglasses, leaving the tourist amused, embarrassed, and probably a little sun-blinded.
Such incidents are not rare at Uluwatu. The temple is home to hundreds of monkeys, notorious for snatching sunglasses, hats, and even phones. Locals often advise tourists to hold on tightly to their belongings—or risk starring in the next viral video.
