According to reports, the incident took place September 20, 2025, in Morna village under the Bhopa police station limits. It is reported that the young man was offered money to catch a snake from someone’s house. The deceased, identified as Mohit, a resident of Gogga Zahirveer Mohalla and a labourer by profession, had gone to the house of Mangale Prajapati to catch a snake. While trying to put the snake into a bag, the reptile suddenly bit him. Mohit was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead before treatment could begin.
A video of the incident circulating on social media clearly shows Mohit attempting to catch the snake and put it inside a bag. However, he lost control of the snake during the process, and it bit him fatally.
Mohit’s cousin alleged that Mangale Prajapati and his family lured Mohit with money to catch the snake. The bereaved family holds them responsible for his death and has demanded strict police action against them.
