According to a source, the YouTuber went missing Saturday.
The man, identified as Sagar Tudu of Berhampur — though his YouTube channel carried the name Sagar Kundu — was reportedly using a drone camera to capture footage near the waterfall when the water level rose suddenly, stranding him on a rock, the source said.
The viral video circulating on social media showed attempts to rescue him with ropes as he clung to the rock, but the strong current eventually swept him away.
The incident occurred after water was released from the Machakunda dam following heavy rainfall in Lamtaput area, the source added.
Authorities have launched a search operation.
