Mumbai: It is raining biopics in the film industry and politicians are the frontrunners in the race. Following the biopic of Bal Thackeray, NT Rama Rao, former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and PM Narednra Modi it is Bahujan Samaj Party chief, Mayawati’s pitch.
Reports suggest than actor Vidya Balan will light Mayawati’s on the silver screen.
Jolly LLB director Subhash Kapoor has approached Vidya for the role and he believes, she is the only actor who can do justice to the character. However no commitment is recorded from Vidya Balan yet.

Subhash Kapoor director, producer and screenwriter has made successful films in the likes of ‘Jolly LLB’ and Phas Gaye Re Obama. He was also in the headlines for sexual assault under the #MeToo campaign and time will tell if Vidya Balan agrees to do Mayawati or not.
In other reports UP CM Yogi Adityanath and former UP CM Mulayam Singh Yadav also seem to be keen on their biopic.
On the professional front, Vidya Balan was last seen in Telugu film N.T.R. Kathanayakudu starring Balakrishna where she played the role of NTR’s wife. Actually, the film was also a biopic on former Andhra Pradesh CM N. T. Rama Rao.
