Sambalpur: A female employee of the Regional Coal Mines Provident Fund Organisation (CMPFO) here has brought sexual harassment charge against a senior official of the organization.
In a complaint lodged by the woman at Mahila Police station here Saturday, she has accused the regional commissioner of sexually harassing her for the past couple of months.
In her complaint, the victim stated that the official had called her to his chamber and asked her to give him a shoulder massage and threatened her with dire consequences if she did not do the same and disclosed the matter to anyone.
The woman alleged that despite repeated complaints, police failed to initiate any action against the accused.
Based on the complaint, police have initiated a probe and assured justice to the victim.
