Balasore: A woman got her husband killed by hiring contract killers at Kasimpur under Sahadevkhunta police limits in Balasore district. This revelation came to fore Saturday when the police arrested four persons including the woman.
Madhab Behera (52) was found dead with his head crushed with stone near Kasimpur Chhak December 17. Behera’s brother has lodged a complaint with the police the next day.
The arrested are Madhab’s wife Basanti Behera (37), Bhagirathi Patra (37), Akash Das (23) of Basta, Banchhanidhi Chanda (28) of Mayurbhanj.
Police investigation revealed that Madhab used to suspect the character of his wife. He had abused Bhagirathi with whom he was not in good terms.
Basanti and Bhagirathi planed to eliminate Madhab and executed it with the help of Akash and Banchhanidhi. Basanti had paid Rs 50,000 to the contract killers.
Aakash and Banchhanidhi befriended Madhab and wined and dined together for four days before committing the murder, said IIC Paresh Rout. PNN
