Harare: Love does not differentiate anything and here is the proof. Widowed woman, Betty Mbereko is set to marry her son. Right now she is six months pregnant and expecting her son’s child, who is also her grandchild, isn’t it a double delight?
According to reports, Mbereko has been living with his 23 yr old son Farai Mbereko for the past 12 years. She does not want to marry her late husband’s young brothers, who she says, are coveting her. So, she decided to marry her son instead and take their incestuous relationship to the next level.
Last week, Betty stunned a village court after she accept that she has a affair with her son which had begun three years earlier.
Farai too accepted it and said he is prepared to marry his mother and would pay off the ilobola (bride price) due from his father to his grandparents.
However, the local headman Nathan Muputirwa refuted it and said “We cannot allow this to happen in our village and it is bad omen indeed, they must leave if anything such is to happen.”
