Narayanpatna: Police Sunday arrested a youth on the charge of killing his grandmother after she advised him to do something instead of being jobless.
The incident was reported from Sana Kutudi village of Tentulipadar panchayat near here in Koraput district Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Salem Huika and the accused as Palsu Huika.
Based on a complaint by his father, police arrested Palsu.
According to sources, Palsu was jobless and would pass time either idling at home or wandering around and did not even extend a helping hand to his family.
As usual, he was sitting at home and wasting his time Saturday when his grandmother advised him to do something instead of idling away his time.
These few words turned Palsu mad.
In a fit of rage, he picked up a club and started hitting her until she died, as per the complaint of his father.
