Chhatrapur: A 26-year-old youth identified as Nilamadhab Pradhan was killed by a wild boar Saturday night in Badamadhapur near Chhatrapur. Pradhan was roaming outside his residence in the dark when a wild boar emerged out of nowhere and attacked him.
Sighting a heavily injured Nilamadhab, local villagers took him to nearby Munsipentha community health centre and later shifted him to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur. His condition worsened further and he was taken to a hospital in Bhubaneswar in an ambulance.
However, as his condition critically deteriorated en route, he was taken to Khallikote Government Hospital instead, where doctors declared him dead. His body was handed over to his family after post-mortem examination.
