Rayagada: Police Friday recovered the body of a youth, hanging from a tree, just 200 metres away from the railway station here. While the identity of the youth was yet to be ascertained, police recovered Rs 6,831 from his pocket.
The police said they noticed that injuries had been inflicted from a blade on his hands and feet. On the orders of Rayagada IIC Rabindra Patra, SI Ripan Kindo along with a police team reached the spot and seized the body. A case of unnatural death was registered and the body sent for post-mortem. No exact reason of the death was known as yet while a probe was on, police said.
