Balasore: Excise officials of Nilagiri block in Balasore district Thursday conducted raids at different places and seized 140 litres of country-made liquor.
The Excise officials arrested one person for selling illicit liquor while two others managed to escape. They also seized a motorcycle from the possession of the accused person.
The accused has been identified as Kajal Hembram of Bholanala village under Berhampur police limits.
The raid was led by Excise Sub-Inspector Sadhav Pradhan with Keshab Chandra Das, Chandramohan Sethi and Jayanti Acharya as part of the team.
