Rengali: Thelakuli police under Rengali block of Sambalpur district Monday claimed to have busted the murder mystery of Sukdev Kishan, 35, of Gumukarma. The body was recovered from a football ground under mysterious circumstances.

The duo has been identified as Nehru Kishan and Bhuska Kishan.
According to IIC Subash Chandra Mishra, deceased Sukdev arrived at fellow villager Kamala Kishan’s house and indulged in a drunken brawl using filthy language. Meanwhile, Kamala’s brother-in-law Nehru who had come to his house tried to pacify Sukdev.
Things took an ugly turn after the two broke out in an altercation. Nehru, in a fit of rage, took a lathi and hit Sukdev, leading to the latter’s death on the spot.
