Koraput/Narayanpatna: Police Monday arrested two hardcore militiamen from Nalapadar village under Narayanpatna police limits in Koraput district.
The duo was identified as Masi Tadingi (47) and Kusumu Tadingi (50) of Borigi panchayat.
Acting on intelligence inputs, a police team led by Narayanpatna IIC Ramakanta Muduli and Special Operation Group jawans conducted raids at Nalapadar village and succeeded in arresting the militiamen.
The two were produced in a court at Laxmipur, police sources said.
Apart from their involvement in several violent activities, the militiamen played their parts in the killing of Pidika Ratnanu of Pedaitikiri village. They were absconding since the murder, the IIC said.
