Berhampur: Police Monday arrested two more persons on the charge of hurling bombs at a moving car at Durga Temple Square here July 10, said ASPs Trinath Patel and Shantanu Das at a press meet in Baidyanathpur police station Tuesday.
Sudam Bisoi and Shiva Nayak, the masterminds in the case, were produced in a court. “The two were absconding after hurling bombs at the moving car. They were arrested after a special squad led by Town SDPO Prabhat Chandra Routray arrested them near the Tamana Ghat in Chikiti,” Patel said.
It is suspected that the attack was carried out at the behest of Sunil Behera, who is lodged in Bhanjanagar sub-jail, the police said. The police have appealed to the court seeking Behera’s remand.
The police had earlier arrested nine persons in connection with the case.
