Burla: Two women of a family died after being bitten by a snake while undergoing treatment at VIMSAR Medical College and Hospital at Burla in Sambalpur district Friday.
The deceased were identified as Mamata Sahu (26) and Anita Sahu (21).
According to sources, they were bitten by a venomous snake which had slithered into their house while they were sleeping Thursday night.
They were rushed to the hospital in a critical condition, where both of them died while undergoing treatment.
Police have seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.
