Bhubaneswar: Additional Superintendent of Police Rabindra Kumar Panda and Commandant Naresh Kumar Patel are among the 22 from Odisha who will be honoured for their contribution to policing and public service on the occasion of Independence Day Friday, official sources said Thursday.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, “Additional Superintendent of Police Rabindra Kumar Panda and Commandant Naresh Kumar Patel from Odisha will be honoured with President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM) for their outstanding contribution to policing.”
Similarly, nine Odisha Police personnel will receive the Medal for Gallantry for their exceptional bravery in the line of duty.

Furthermore, 11 officers will be awarded the Medal for Meritorious Service for their dedication and long-standing service, it said.
