Bhubaneswar: The state government Friday promoted 29 IAS and six IPS officers of Orissa cadre.
As per a notification issued by the General Administration (GA) department, four 1993-batch IAS officers have been promoted to principal secretary rank. They are—DK Singh, Nikunja Bihari Dhal, AK Meena and Surendra Kumar. The seven IAS officers of 2002 batch, who are promoted to super time scale grade are Girish SN, Krishan Kumar, Mrinalini Darswal, Biswanath Mallick, Anand Chandra Sial, Mahendra Kumar Mallick and William Bilung.
The state government has promoted 14 IAS offices of 2005 batch and four of 2009 batch to selection grade and junior administrative grade (non-functional). Similarly, Home department has promoted six Orissa cadre IPS officers. While Yatindra Koyal and Prateek Mohanty have been promoted to Inspector General (IG) rank, Satyabrata Bhoi, Asish Singh, Deepak Kumar and Nitinjeet Singh have been promoted to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) rank.
