Bhubaneswar: Ekamra Walks, the only guided weekend heritage tour of the city, Sunday reached its 50th edition with 90 participants enjoying their time with the beauty of Kalinga architecture.
The 50th edition was eventful with Odissi and other musical events. The performance of eminent artists like Sumanta Maharana, Jagat Ranjan Patnaik, Sushant Kumar Jena and Satyaban Sethi made the day more memorable for the participants.
Laura, Stefanie and Amanda along with Director Centurion Global, Ron Harper, all from Australia were happy to be part of the walk and especially the 50th edition of the event. Ioana Uzum from Romania, accompanied by her daughter Swapna Harrison came for the second time and promised that she would try to visit Ekamra Walks each time she would visit Orissa in future.
Forest department distributed three varieties of Tulsi saplings to the participants on the occasion. The performance of young students of Art-Vision also gave an artistic touch to Ekamra Walks.
The participants visited various monuments like Mukteswar, Parasurameswar, Swarna Jaleswar, Kotitirtheswar, Bindusagar, Ananta Vasudev and its community kitchen, Doodhwala Dharamshala, Lingaraj Temple, Sari Deula, Mohini temple and others.
