Keonjhar: A 6-year-old girl died after she was bitten by a snake in Hatikucha village under Sadar Police limits in Keonjhar district Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Sukanti Munda.
Sources said, family members were sleeping after dinner, while a snake which had sneaked into house bit her. Immediately she woke up and complained of stomach pain.
The family member took her to a village quack instead of taking her to the hospital. When her condition deteriorated she was rushed to the Padmapur CHC and from there shifted to Keonjhar district headquarters hospital (DHH). Later she died 3 am.
