Umerkote: A Plus II student is absconding from his house here after his father pulled him up three weeks ago for scoring poor marks in the Plus II Science examination held by the CHSE board.
Initially, family members thought he went to some relative’s house. But, no contact could be established with the boy even after three weeks. The family members now took the help of social media sites like Whatsapp and Facebook.
Partha Sarathi Pradhan is the son of Bansidhar Pradhan, a constable at Umerkote police station. He was doing an undergraduate course at the Bhubaneswar-based Gayatri Science College. The family hails from K. Berhampur area near Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district, but resides in Umerkote where Bansidhar worked.
Angry over the scolding from his father, the boy left his home May 19. Since then there has been no trace of him. The family can be contacted on 9438516974 and 9438527340.
