Sundargarh: Town police arrested two men and busted a bike lifting racket. Nine bikes were recovered from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Basant Barik of Tumulia village under Talasara police limits and Jitendra Khuntia of Sianmal village under Bargaon police limits.
Police sources said Basant lifted bikes from various areas and sold them at different places. Jitendra was arrested for buying two stolen bikes from Basant. Seven bikes were recovered from Basant and two from Jitendra.
Notably, two members of this racket were arrested May 7. Four bikes were recovered from Subrat (19) and Tikeswar Kalo (27) of Suanmal village near Dharuadihi.
One member of the racket is still at large, said a police officer.
