Malkangiri: In the wake of Maoists’ bandh call Friday and their opposition to the inauguration of Gurupriya Setu, DGP R P Sharma along with a five-member high level delegation Thursday visited Malkangiri and inspected the security aspects of the bridge.
Several other police officials including R P Koche, R K Sharma, Ghanshyam Upadhyay were also present during the inspection.
The security inspection of Gurupriya Setu during the DGP’s visit holds significance as Maoists are opposing the bridge’s inauguration.
