According to sources, 30 labourers were injured after a portion of the 50-metre-long and 20-ft high structure caved in Sunday afternoon. Among the injured, the condition of six is stated to be critical. Nearly 40 labourers were working at the site when the mishap occurred between 12pm and 1 pm when they were laying the roof of the bridge.
