Balasore: Balasore RPF and a team of Crime Branch from Kharagpur railway station arrested a person dealing with railway tickets illegally Sunday.
The joint team undertook a raid at the railway station and rounded up ticket broker Nitai Das (59).
A sum of Rs 3.92 lakh was seized from him, said Railway Crime Branch Inspector Suresh Kumar.
Nitai Das has been booking tickets from various counters and was selling them to passengers at a premium through travel agencies.
Railway Crime Branch received several complaints against him and was keeping a close watch on him.
Das was booking ticket at Balasore railway station at 8.30 pm Sunday when a raid was carried out.
Police seized 11 life tickets, 22 other tickets and some cancelled tickets.
