Baripada: Police arrested a man in connection with the alleged murder of his wife whose mutilated body was recovered from a forest near Purnachandrapur village in Mayurbhanj district Monday.
The accused has been identified as Jena Bhakta of Purnachandrapur village. He was nabbed from Morada police limits in Baripada block of the district. Jena had an argument with his wife over some petty issue Sunday. During the quarrel, Jena flew into a rage and attacked his wife with a wooden plank resulting in her death. Later, he threw his wife’s body in the forest to cover up the crime.
After recovery of the body, the police launched a probe and nabbed Jena. He also confessed to the crime.
