Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha published the results of Annual Optional HS Examination and Instant HS examination Wednesday. The optional examination was held from November 5 to 7, 2020, and the instant exam was held from November 11 to 12, 2020.
The exams were conducted in Arts, Science, Commerce and vocational streams.
The optional exam was held for students in the subjects in which they didn’t give exams due to the pandemic. They were all awarded with average marks in those subjects.
The instant exam was for those candidates who either passed in Practical /Project Paper in Annual H.S. Examination, but failed/absent in Theory Paper need to appear Theory Examination only, or they passed in theory paper but failed/absent in practical /project paper, need to appear both in Theory and practical/project paper, failed/absent in both Theory and practical/project paper or need to appear both in Theory & practical/project paper.
In the annual optional paper, 105 candidates gave the exam out of which 78 passed. The overall pass percentage was 74.28.
In Arts, the pass percentage was 54.54 percent while in Science it was 86.66 percent and in Vocational, it was 66.67 percent.
Meanwhile, in instant exam result, 842 science candidates appeared the exam out of which 526 passed. The pass percentage was 62.47 percent.
In Arts stream, 355 students gave the exam out of which 287 passed the exam. The pass percentage was 80.84 percent.
In commerce stream, 139 gave the exam, out if which 80 passed. The pass percentage was 57.55 percent.
