Orissa eves team rout Chandigarh

Bhubaneswar: Orissa routed Chandigarh 8-0 in a match of the 22nd Senior Women’s national football championship at Phagwara, Monday
The Orissa eves attacked from the beginning and were two-up within the first 10 minutes with Pyari Xaxa and Sinulata Sahoo scoring in quick succession. Sinulata was again in the thick of things scoring in the 26th minute.
In the second half, the Orissa eves were in a goal rush with Jabamani Tudu, Jasmani Samad, Subhadra Sahu, Arati Sethi and Sasmita Ekka getting on the scoreboard.
Orissa will next face Sikkim, Wednesday.

Wushu team announced
The Wushu Association of Orissa Monday announced the state team for the 26th National Wushu Championships, at Shillong, July 10-15.
The squad: (Men): Guru Munda (48kg), Basudev Kanhar (52kg), Sonu Prasad Sonar (56kg), Swastik Ranjan Mahanta (60kg), Mohammad Parvez (65kg), Kisan Gurung (70kg), Kapil Karmakar (75kg), Sachin Mahanta (80kg), Rakesh Kumar Behera (85kg), Arun Ajadiwal (90kg).
(Women): Kalyani Das (45kg), Priyanka Mittal (48kg), Reena Banara (52kg), Swarna Sandhya Nayak (65kg); (reserve) Karunakar Bag (48kg), Ajay Mahanta (52kg), Abhishek Karmaka (56kg), Arun Munda (60kg), Akash Pujan (65kg), Vishal Kumar (70kg), Somnath Dalai (80kg); Sukanti Munda and Meera Behera.

Teams for national kho-kho announced 

Orissa boys and the girls kho-kho teams will leave Tuesday for Nasik to take part in the 18th National Sub-Junior Kho-Kho Championships, which will be played May 24-28.
“The players have been selected on the basis of their performances in the six-day trial camp in Mayurbhanj, May 16-21,” informed Orissa Kho-Kho Association secretary Pradyumna Mishra.
The squads: (Men): Basudeba Parida, Babul Mahakuda, Sanjit Chatamba, Biswabijayee Sethy, Karan Marandi, Shyama Hueka, Gulsan Lugun, Chandan Nayak, Balabhadra Murmu, Sanjay Kumar Mandal, Deepak Singh, Laxmidhar; Coach: Prasanta Mallick, Manager: Abhinna Basudeba Mishra
(Women): Diptipriya Nag, Ananya Pradhan, Kadambini Majhi, Jyotshna Xess, Subhashree Singh, Archana Majhi, Pratima Dey, Ranjita Barik, Sibani Gamango, Pramila Sabar, Priyanka Parida and Barsa Singh; Coach: Sasmita Ojha, Manager: Dharmendra Panda.

Four selected
Four Hockey Gangpur players including three girls have been selected for the National Junior Camp at SAI Centre, Bangalore, May 24-June 3.
The girls selected for the camp are Jiwan Kishore Toppo, Premanjali Toppo and Janhabi Pradhan. They put up a very good show at National Junior Championships in Bhopal. The only boy to have been selected is Pratap who was adjudged the best defender in the Asian School hockey tournament.
