Chhatrapur: Validating a long-standing demand by the Purushottampur bar association, the Ganjam Collector V Keerthi Vasan ordered the transfer of the local ABDO Nirakar Jena.
Jayashri Nayak has been posted as the replacement of Jena as Purushottampur ABDO. As per the order, Nirakar has been posted to Sheragada block. Jayashri was brought to Purushottampur from Chhatrapur block where she was working earlier.
For the unversed, the Purushottampur bar association had presented a demand letter to the Collector on January 6, alleging bribery demands by ABDO Nirakar Jena for marriage certification and other government services.

The Collector issued transfer orders vide letter number 222/08.01.2026 after conducting an inquiry based on the allegations made by the bar association.
