Vrindavan Gardens, Uttar Pradesh: It is believed that Lord Krishna was married to over 16,000 women. Many temples and gardens are dedicated to his ‘rasleela’. One of the places called Vridavan Gardens in Uttar Pradesh where it is believed that the trees transform themselves into Gopis or women who herd cows and then sway and dance with Lord Krishna as he plays the flute. It is also believed that that no human or animal can enter the garden post twilight and those who committed this mistake have been reported to be suffering from some form of dementia.
Adam’s Bridge, Tamil Nadu: In the Ramayana, Ravana kidnapped Sita. To win her back, Lord Rama assembled an army who helped him build a bridge between the southern-most tip of India and Sri Lanka. This bridge was named as Ram Setu- Bridge that is built naturally. Some scientists claimed that this bridge is made up of lime stone but later failed to prove it which adds to the mystery of the place.
The Village of Twins, Kerala: The village named Kodhini, 35 km from Calicut, is home to around 2,000. These families are famous for the birth of an unusual number of twins. The first twin occurred in 1949. Currently the village has over 200 twins. This subject developed lots of curiosity among doctors and scientists. However, no one has yet given any concrete answers as to why the birth of twins is so prevalent in this tiny village.
Kamakhya Devi Temple, Assam: The Kamakhya Devi temple where it is believed that the Goddess Kali was venerated and body part of irked goddess is fallen. This is the place where the yoni or the genitals of the goddess fell. And the most mysterious thing is this place experiences a menstrual cycle for three days. When it happens, the Brahmaputra River that flows nearby turns red.
