Bhubaneswar: The Crime Branch (CB), which is probing the death of motivational speaker and social activist, Aditya Dash, is likely to conduct polygraph tests on a few persons linked to the case.
A three-member special team of the Crime Branch is currently probing the case. A member of the team said that lie detection tests may be conducted on the suspects to establish the truth. Besides, as a part of its investigation into Dash’s death, the CB team may once again interrogate Aditya’s wife Bidyashree and his friends Bikash, Pappu and Pritam.
Earlier July 30, the Director General of Odisha Police had ordered the Crime Branch to take over the investigation of the case. The team has already questioned Bidyashree and Dash’s parents. However, the investigation agency is yet to establish the reason behind the social activist’s death.
It should be stated here that Dash’s mutilated body was found on the railway tracks near Lingaraj Temple Road station in Bhubaneswar, July 7. Prior to the Crime Branch taking over the case, the Bhubaneswar GRP was conducting the investigation in the matter.
