Simulia: Following media reports, the administration and some private persons have extended a helping hand to an 18-month-old girl, Suchimsita, at Jalasuni under this block in Balasore. She has a tumour on her back that needs surgery.
As her parents Narahari Panda and Urmila Panda were financially helpless, they had sought help from the administration. Odia daily Dharitri had reported about the miserable condition of the girl in its edition dated October 31, 2018.
On reading the report, sarpanch Bishnupada Nayak and panchayat executive officer Chagulu Singh reached out to the distressed family. Under RBSK, she had been provided medical treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. Free medicines and official transport to hospital have been made available to her. An operation is scheduled for next month.
