Kendrapara: As filmy as it might sound, a couple was reunited on the auspicious occasion of Savitri Brata at a family court here Tuesday.
The two, Sibaprasad Nayak of Dutial village in Sadar area and Namita Nayak of Manitri village in Marshighai were married March 8, 2015. Family and personal disputes followed. The couple was on loggerheads in one year after the marriage. Frustrated, the couple decided to separate and applied for divorce in the family court in 2016. By this time, they became parents to a child.
Keeping in mind the future of the baby, Family Court judge Santosh Kumar Jena advised the couple to stay together. He also arranged a counselling session for the couple. After the court’s verdict, the couple seemed happy and headed to their home to start a new life with their child.
