BHUBANESWAR: On the eve of Air Force Day, an oath taking ceremony was organised by Air NCC Cadets of JW (Girls) and JD (Boys) at the Mother Public School here Tuesday.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Principal Poly Pattnaik in the presence of Vice-Principal Anne Dash, Associate NCC Officer (ANO) Reeta Mohanty, ANO Md. Hussain and other staff members and students.
The cadets pledged to be disciplined and responsible citizens. The oath taking ceremony was followed by a briefing session. The NCC theme song was rendered by cadets and they also shared their camp experience which they attended last month.
The programme concluded with a prize distribution ceremony and singing of the national anthem.
Mohanty told Orissa POST that the students had participated in a Pre Vayu Sanik camp, where they won laurels in firing, drill, solo dance and group dance.
“We observed Air Force Day with three NCC Girls’ Wings and NCC Air boys and girls. We also conducted an oath taking ceremony to instil discipline among students,” she added.
