Asian boy stabs teacher in UK

London: A 14-year-old Asian boy in the UK stabbed his teacher at a school in northern England, prompting police to launch a hunt for him. The 50-year-old teacher was taken to hospital from the Dixons Kings Academy in Bradford, after he was attacked with a knife in the school Thursday morning. His condition has been described as stable. The teenager is described as Asian with short dark hair, and West Yorkshire Police said he was last seen wearing a blue uniform blazer. The city of Bradford has a large concentration of Pakistani-origin families but the exact origin of the boy is not known yet. Detective superintendent Simon Atkinson, of West Yorkshire Police’s homicide and major inquiry team, described the stabbing as a “very serious incident”. He said: “At this stage we do not believe there is an ongoing risk to pupils or staff at the school. The rest of the school is continuing to operate as normal and local officers are currently liaising closely with the staff. “We are also working closely with our partners in the local authorities to investigate the full circumstances of this incident, which will be the subject of a thorough investigation.” AGENCIES
