Bhubaneswar: The bodies of a young woman and her nephew were found hanging from the ceiling of an under-construction apartment at Lumbini Vihar under Chandrasekharpur police station in Bhubaneswar Friday.
The deceased were identified as Somesh Mahali (18) his aunt Jyotsna Mahali (18) of Kurkutia village in Mayurbhanj district.
According to reports, both of them were in love and they had eloped from their houses Thursday. They were staying at Lumbini Vihar area in the under construction apartment. They committed suicide by hanging themselves from the ceiling of the apartment with a stole after their family members objected to their relationship.
Police have reached the spot, seized the bodies and sent it for post-mortem. An investigation in this connection has also started.
