Kutra: Tension ran high at Kutra bus stand in Sundargarh district Sunday after local residents spotted two bags containing beef inside a bus.
According to reports, an unidentified person carrying two bags boarded the bus from Rourkela to Sundargarh at Jamapal bypass this morning.
Suspecting that he was carrying beef in the bags, some locals chased the vehicle.
After the bus stopped at Kutra bus stand, they checked the bags kept in the luggage cabin and found beef inside them.
Fearing attack on him, the passenger fled the spot.
On being informed, Kutra police reached the spot and seized the bags.
