Bhubaneswar: IndiGo announced direct flights between Bhubaneswar-Singapore and Bhubaneswar-Bangkok commencing June 3.
Beginning June 3, flights from Bhubaneswar to Bangkok will be available on every Tuesday and Saturday. However, the flights from Bangkok to Bhubaneswar will be functional every Wednesday and Sunday commencing from June 4, a source informed.
From June 3, the flights from Bhubaneswar to Singapore and Singapore to Bhubaneswar will be operated every Tuesday and Saturday, the source said.
The Odisha Cabinet approved the bid of IndiGo airlines last year, which had shown its interest in operating direct flights to Dubai, Singapore, and Bangkok from Bhubaneswar following a request for quotation from the state government.
The IndiGo started direct flights between Bhubaneswar and Dubai from May 15, 2023.
Besides that, in view of the high demand for travel from New Delhi to Singapore in the post-Covid times, IndiGo will launch daily direct flights between the two megacities from May 25. These flights will significantly enhance connectivity along with accessibility across Southeast Asia and provide flyers with more affordable options, the source added.
